(102,525 posts)I will try to see the Dem rebuttal either live or via video.
It is important to me not to watch only because I can no longer stand to watch that lying, abusive, foul usurper of the Presidency.

(3,340 posts)I have little ones at home. After work, I got to cook and have stuff to do around the house. If I happen to have a minute to sit down and the SOTU is on, maybe I'll check it out. It's not important enough to me to order pizza and forego doing laundry, though.

(14,319 posts)Repug or Dem. Anything important will be on a constant loop the next day.
I watch nearly every one, make a point of it. I just can't risk the triggering right now, my mental state is fragile after the past three years of this shit. I have to limit my exposure. Besides, it will be all we hear about for weeks now.

(33,056 posts)I almost saw it as a Civic High Holy Day. All 3 branches of our government meeting together to discuss the immediate future of we the people.
When West Wing did this, still I get goosebumps.

(32,102 posts)I can't stand the sight or sound of that orange motherfucker, and my TV would not survive me watching any of the speech. I can't afford a new one. I will be watching hockey, instead.

(4,455 posts)she will stick with it and watch the entire speech. I'll be lucky to last 5 minutes before I leave the room.

(3,245 posts)normally, this speech is important in many ways, but I'm sorry, just don't see how I can do it. May watch during commercials of something else, but I'm not planning my evening around this.
will more than likely turn on MSNBC or CNN after I know it's over.

(38,350 posts)It's nuts to try an attribute any deeper meaning to them.
Why would I watch that?
There's already plenty of videos on YouTube of quacking ducks.
