(34,139 posts)Randy Rainbow videos. He makes me smile and laugh and I love his voice. Then I did FB mail with an old ex DU friend. Ummm, I put some laundry in and am now warming my clothes in order to go out in this frigid weather to check the animals and do a last feed. When I come back it will all be over and I can find all the responses/comments both pre and post and maybe have some ice cream because I know they will all be really good to listen to and I can then sleep with a happy tummy and a proud state of mind.
I am so freaking happy I was able to not watch this. I don't think I want to even see CNN after although I know my husband will be stuck to it like glue. Earphones, music and reading.

ProudLib72
(17,984 posts)There really isn't much to analyze, though. Was there a dog? Was it a small dog (because for some reason, only small dogs are "cute" )? Was there the most eligible bachelor in the world who happened to fall for the down on her luck woman?
I actually saw one the other day that sort of reversed the stereotype: a wealthy woman CEO pretended to be an assistant so as not to scare away the hot male nurse (if only had been a doctor!).
frogmarch
(12,161 posts)in which Jenn figured out that three recent murders were connected because they mirrored murders in certain famous mystery novels.
There wasn't a dog in this one, and the eligible bachelor turned out to be the murderer, so it wasn't quite as formulaic as most Hallmark movies, but I never forgot I was watching Hallmark.
Someone should let Jenn know that her perfect husband is an assassin - a terrorist. I saw him the other night on NCIS.

(6,412 posts)...but my car battery had other ideas. So waited at the park and ride until AAA showed up, got a jump...made it in before they closed up and bought a battery. Then shopped for some herbal tea and Atkins bars. Took a look at some camping equipment for a few minutes and then walked back to the service area and my car was ready. They were having a slow night. Got home showered, ate dinner and then watched Trever Noah make commentary.

(29,679 posts)I've gained a bit of weight since I broke my ankle. The owner of my gym has offered to create a program for me once my physical therapist greenlights me for modified exercise. Still, once I'm back to no restrictions I will need to pick up some additional exercise. I've thought about some cardio like Zumba.
Anyone specific you recommend on YouTube?
Xolodno
(6,412 posts)But from my view...
Pro's;
1. I'll "Zumba" longer than on the treadmill at the gym.
2. Both live classes and YouTube can add variety to your exercise...as opposed to a treadmill and hooking your headphones in to a tv channel.
3. If you like dancing to music, this will be enjoyable...but a bit much faster.
Con's;
1. The "routine's" can be a bit intimidating. Learned to forget trying to play catch up and just follow much as I can. The point is to keep moving.
2. I'm a male, and certain exercises require me to "adjust" the routine. I really don't need to strut my posterior or move my "chest". But that depends on the instructor.
Unknown;
1. I don't know which burns more calories, Zumba or the Treadmill.
2. How hard is on your joints? Depends on the routine I think.
As for anything specific. I think that's personal choice. My wife has her favorites...however, we keep mixing it up when it becomes a bit too "standard". We usually go for a routine that is at least 30 minutes, but usually do one 40 to 60. There are plenty of them less that 5 minutes, but you could probably create a list of several of them.

(29,679 posts)While I worked on embroidery, kept my ankle propped and shined a laser at my cat. (He was a very sweet boy, btw, and received some treats and a bit of catnip for being so lovey tonight during this ice storm.)
ProudLib72
(17,984 posts)My old boss was a crazy cat lady with a just slightly less crazy cat husband. I don't know how or where her husband got it, but he had an old laser that had been used by NASA. It was big and industrial looking. I was honestly afraid it was going to be powerful enough to scorch the cats! It was quite a scene getting fifteen cats to chase a laser dot.

(29,679 posts)He has a small crate full of toys but he only likes a few: his scratch post (not the nice carpeted kind but the cheap ones made of corrugated stock-he loves the mess they make), his pen laser and a paper emery board. If I buy emery boards to do my nails he will steal them and hide them away for an extended head/chin self rub session later in the night.
He's a silly little chonk.
