There were clearly different writers and the pieces certainly didn't fit together. That fluffed up ending was just absurd.

I didn't watch but I just read the 538 live blogging transcript. Near the end Nate was fixated on the awful caliber of writing, then the 538 panel debated whether writing mattered in a situation like this.
