Something unusual happened to me yesterday. Actually, for me it wasnt just unusual it was a first. I was made an offer I couldnt refuse. Or at least thats what the top people at the National Enquirer thought. Im glad they thought that, because it emboldened them to put it all in writing. Rather than capitulate to extortion and blackmail, Ive decided to publish exactly what they sent me, despite the personal cost and embarrassment they threaten.
AMI, the owner of the National Enquirer, led by David Pecker, recently entered into an immunity deal with the Department of Justice related to their role in the so-called Catch and Kill process on behalf of President Trump and his election campaign. Mr. Pecker and his company have also been investigated for various actions theyve taken on behalf of the Saudi Government.
I didnt know much about most of that a few weeks ago when intimate texts messages from me were published in the National Enquirer. I engaged investigators to learn how those texts were obtained, and to determine the motives for the many unusual actions taken by the Enquirer. As it turns out, there are now several independent investigations looking into this matter.
Back to the story: Several days ago, an AMI leader advised us that Mr. Pecker is apoplectic about our investigation. For reasons still to be better understood, the Saudi angle seems to hit a particularly sensitive nerve.A few days after hearing about Mr. Peckers apoplexy, we were approached, verbally at first, with an offer. They said they had more of my text messages and photos that they would publish if we didnt stop our investigation.

(3,813 posts)Union-busting billionaires need to wake up and smell the coffee before guillotines reduce their caffeine habit once and for all as far as I can tell from the direction of late capitalism USA.
But the enemy of my enemies can fuck some shit up when it's a billionaire against the Gropenfuhrer, the Saudis, and fascism-enabling rags like the Enquirer, so I'mma just stand back and watch the fireworks.

(68 posts)In fact, I've already replied to Mr. Bezos on Medium making note of the fact that a company with a CEO named Mr. Pecker sent 'OFFICIAL' correspondence containing the term: 'd*ck pick'.
Too good.

and talk like Individual 1.
Hope they get nailed.

Like a few Dick Pics will bother Bezos?
Looks like the Washington Post just got armored up like no other newspaper in the nation.
I look for him to own the enquirer soon. And hopefully shut it down.
That said, no Bezos fan nor fan of billionaires owning papers. Think if Pecker owned the Post.

(37,648 posts)He handled this correctly. You don't give in to blackmail.
I wonder if Trump is behind this. Or if Pecker did this on his own to curry favor with Trump, in lieu of Pecker's legal troubles.
The hubris for Pecker to pull this stunt while he's in the midst of legal troubles.

(28,824 posts)no actual dick pic described. pictures taken between 2 people evidently in a relationship. Maybe Bezos was still married at the time which is perhaps despicable but has no bearing on his business acumen.
i hope AMI is irreparably injured. fucking creeps.
