I know that doesn't sound like much to some, but accumalatively we haven't had that much snow in the past 8 years in total. Lots of places shut down, events cancelled, trees and wires down. More is coming and it's supposed to get in the low teens and high single digits tonight. PNW'ers STAY SAFE AND WARM!!!!

(20,605 posts)I live by the Strait of Juan de Fuca - no one is moving here. My only fear is loss of electricity. One short outage and the lights are flickering. I feel for the electrical line workers.

(1,606 posts)We had five inches in Issaquah, though we've got another winter storm on its way Monday. Not minding too much - that should translate into several feet of snow in the Cascades and Olympics, which hopefully will reduce the risk of fire come this summer.

(12,650 posts)Last time I saw snow like that in Tacoma, it was 1978. First and last time getting into a car accident on black ice. Hit the front headlight, and had to limp home in the dark. Scary shite.
Stay safe, friend!
