(18,696 posts)It took me the second time to realize the cop also got out to push in pursuit. haha
Being an American I just assumed he was taking up a firing position behind the squad car.

(50,601 posts)Witness this video:
A little background: The sovereign citizen in this video is Steve Finney. He's bad enough of a parent that Child Protective Services removed his kid from his custody...so, instead of learning how to be a better parent, he became a sovereign citizen. What brought this incident on is, the SC group he's a part of (Kevin Annett's International Tribunal Into Crimes of Church and State, which consists of Annett and no one else) talked him into mailing his license plates, driver's license and vehicle registrations back to the province, and to affix "Republic of Kanata" (another SC group affiliated with Annett) logos to his car in place of license plates.
Apparently, doing this makes you immune to all traffic laws.
Also apparently, the cops don't know this. This video is from the very first time Finney attempted to drive with no plates.

(45,667 posts)because one should never drive with their windows covered in snow like that. It was very nice of someone to help, but cops have pulled over cars for less.
Ice is even worse. It's nasty to drive behind a large tractor trailer with sheets of ice flying off the roof.

(11,580 posts)He said he'd come from a gig in Vancouver, and one night, he stayed late to watch the closing comedian. When he left the club, he was walking back to his hotel, from behind him, he heard "POLICE! GET ON THE GRO UND!"
Having gone this route before, he complied instantly, and while he was kneeling on the ground with his fingers laced behind his head, neither of the cops seemed to be coming for him. He decided to chance a peek, and this is what he said of what he saw.
"I looked back and saw the two cops beating the hell out of a white dude, and I thought 'Is this a great country, or what?'"
