This ripping children from the arms of their parents makes the US look no better than Nazi Germany.

THIS, more than anything else this immoral, ethically-bankrupt, bottomless cesspool administration has done, tears me apart as an American citizen. It shames me. When this was first revealed, I couldn't sleep for days. I'm retired from the U S NAVY and I didn't wear the uniform to support this atrocity.

God only knows what is going on in these places. From what we've seen, children who have emerged from these concentration camps have been malnourished, filthy, bruised, sleep-deprived, infested with lice and infected with disease. We've already read that some of the children have been physically and sexually abused, some by other older, more aggressive children, some by "guards." I'm stunned that there hasn't been an outbreak of something highly contagious.

I am sick to the pit of my soul over all of the remarks that keep coming out of the WH on why these children haven't been reunited with family. And they're STILL doing this. Despite judicial orders to stop.

I'll say this (again): If ANY OTHER country had done this to American families, we'd have nuked them back to the pre-Cambrian era by dawn the next day. This is inhuman and by all rights, somebody should take this administration to the UN/The World Court at the Hague (I know the US isn't a part of it, but there is ALWAYS an American jurist on the bench.) and have them charged with crimes against humanity.

THIS IS CONDUCT UNBECOMING of this nation and I am ashamed to be an American right now. This is NOT who we are.

Flashes of the Geneva Conventions burst in my brain. Technically we’re not at war. But THIS??? What classification of abomination would we give THIS? Especially if it was some other country doing this?

I know exactly how you feel Haggis, even though I come to it as a civilian never having served in the military. I don’t share your experience. But I DO share in your sense of shame.
