It's gonna get built. And then when it does nothing, 5 years from now the powers that be will find some way to say that it didn't work and we need even *TIGHTER* security, and then find some way to blame the wall on the Democratic party because we "allowed" it to happen by compromising on it.
These people are psychopaths. They're literally Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown. But when Charlie Brown is lying on the ground, Lucy spits in his face and kicks him in the ribs, you know, just to rub salt in the wound. We need to vote them all out or things might get worse.

(115,982 posts)that most of the land along the Texas border is privately owned and can't be built on unless the government acquires the land by eminent domain - which will be monstrously expensive (and that cost hasn't even been included in the projected cost of the wall) and will be tied up in court for many years. (94,973 posts)So you're assuming that Trump is still in office in 5 years? Because nobody in the military, or the border States is saying we desperately need a wall.
