Over half of white evangelical Christians, 55 percent, feel God put Trump in office. That drops to 36 percent among Protestants and 20 percent among Catholics.
Trump voters are nearly six times as likely as Clinton voters to believe God wanted Trump to win the election (46 vs. 8 percent). The results are nearly identical among Republicans (45 percent) and Democrats (9 percent).

What a fucked up poll, and a fucked up poll question.
And FWIW, I don't for one second believe that even 8% of Clinton voters and 9% of Democrats believe God wanted Trump to be president.
Can you imagine how Fox News would have reacted if CNN or MSNBC had done a poll asking if people believed God wanted Barack Obama to become president?

(51,393 posts)If the birth certificate shows god not born in the United States then there need to be naturalization papers.
Otherwise, provide the birth certificate with birth in the United States.
The birth certificate would need to show name of parents.
When god registers to vote it must show residency at an actual address in the United States.

the same thing about Bush Jr. I would have thought God could be more powerful with the votes... and Hillary's popular vote win wasn't even close. Why is God so inept at fixing elections?

(49,137 posts)doing a poll so they could run a headline on how widespread the belief was.
Fox seems to be trying prop up this idiotic belief about Trump, and not just by giving Jerry Falwell Jr and others on the religious right a podium.

And I figure that 8% has gotta be 4% margin of error and 4% trolls.
