And you are allowed to drive up next to the green and park in the deep rough that often surrounds the green. On the green itself is unforgivable; the grass it cut so short and is so delicate that you could easily damage the surface and leave tire marks on the green.

That being said, many greens are designed with large run up areas or collection drop offs around the green which are kept short like the fairway and from which golfers will often choose to put. It almost looks like an extension of the green, but it is a different type of grass, and kept just a tiny bit longer. A courteous golfer will avoid driving on this also and try to keep the cart in the deeper grass which cannot be so easily damaged. Courteous and tRump are 2 words that rarely appear in the same sentence...
