Former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) has been released from a federal prison outside Boston and placed in a residential re-entry facility, The Associated Press reported Sunday.
Weiner reported to prison in November 2017 to begin a 21-month sentence for sending sexually explicit messages to a minor. The AP reported that the Federal Bureau of Prisons shows Weiner is in the custody of a Residential Re-entry Management office in Brooklyn, New York.
The AP reported that it was not immediately clear when he was transferred or where he's currently located.
The former congressman is scheduled to finish his sentence on May 14.

(51,660 posts)for everyone's sake....at least as long he is on probation. I hope his problems are under control now but who really knows.

Doesn't appear he was able to stop back then, why would he be able to now?

won't freedom of speech people say he still has his rights? I think that if the courts say "no social media for so and so length of time" as part of his probation it would be helpful to him, especially if he is still lacking self control. I think he went to specialists to help him in the past and obviously didn't do any good.
