FEC gives Jeanine Pirro 24 hours to stop flouting law and come clean on 14-year-old campaign debt

https://www.rawstory.com/2019/02/fec-gives-jeanine-pirro-24-hours-stop-flouting-law-come-clean-14-year-old-campaign-debt/

The Federal Elections Commission (FEC) is demanding that Fox News host Jeanine Pirro file financial reports from her failed 2006 campaign against then-incumbent Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY). The Center for Public Integrity’s Dave Levinthal was first to report on Wednesday that the FEC had sent a letter to Pirro suggesting that she had 24 hours to reply.

“It is important that you file this report immediately,” the letter stated. “The failure to timely file a complete report may result in civil money penalties, an audit or legal enforcement action.”

The commission went on to recommend that Pirro use an “overnight delivery or courier service” so that the report is not subject to further delays.

Levinthal noted that Pirro has not filed a report since 2011, when she acknowledged owing nearly $600,000 to 20 different vendors.

She's got a #freedanielholtzclaw hashtag in her description. From Wikipedia:

Daniel Ken Holtzclaw is a former Oklahoma City Police Department patrol officer who was convicted in December 2015 of multiple counts of rape, sexual battery, forcible oral sodomy, and other charges. Holtzclaw was convicted of eighteen counts involving eight different women.

She sure hitched her wagon to a star with that creep. I have a feeling that she's just not as marketable as she used to be because of her undying support for a rapist. And she still loves POtuS.

If they were still 600k in debt, 5 years after the race, and at that time one of the only two checks cut went to hubby's law firm - one can only guess what kind of self-dealing and nonpayment towards real debts has gone on in the next 7-8 years.

Anyone that is a friend of Donald Trump (ie... fawns all over him and tells him he's the greatest) knows they can flaunt the law any time they want. She will be led away in handcuffs laughing because Donald has already privately assured her, and maybe 20 or 30 others of his "friends", that no matter what crimes they have or may commit, even if it has nothing to do with him or Russia, they will never see a day in jail.

Pirro Sentenced To 29 Months In U.S. Prison

Four months after being convicted of conspiracy and tax evasion, Albert J. Pirro Jr., the influential Republican businessman and husband of Westchester County's top prosecutor, was sentenced today to 29 months in a federal prison, concluding a trial that put the Pirros' lavish lifestyle on display.

The sentence rendered by Judge Barrington D. Parker Jr. was less than the 33 months that prosecutors had sought, offering some solace to Mr. Pirro, his family and the packed gallery of supporters who attended today's proceeding.

Yet for all of the moving testimonials from Mr. Pirro's friends and colleagues about his character and kindness, Judge Parker said that in the end, Mr. Pirro could only blame himself for improperly deducting $1.2 million of his personal expenses as business write-offs ''in mad pursuit of some American dream, with the cars, the vacation homes, the paintings.''

It was an assessment that Mr. Pirro did not contest. Instead, Mr. Pirro, who had been a formidable Republican lobbyist and one of Westchester's top real estate lawyers, told the court in a three-minute speech that he accepted responsibility for his actions. He said that he wanted to apologize to his friends, his fellow lawyers and, most of all, his wife, Jeanine F. Pirro, the district attorney.
