Barr may announce something. He may take it on himself to even give insight into some facet of the Mueller investigation. He may announce that there was no collusion or there was collusion, or that the sun rises in the east. Maybe theres some nugget of information that Mueller really feels needs to be public now that Barr will bring before the microphones. And the investigation continues. Lets hope that it does. Because if the investigation ends next week, its hard to see how thats anything but astoundingly good news for Donald Trump.
*And yes, thats a joke about the song Closing Time

(72,056 posts)Everyone caterwauling over Barr immediately "ending" Mueller probe: Remember Mueller's team has had months to prepare to be ousted/fired/shutdown. Idea that they'd be caught by surprise, without recourse, is absurd. If Mueller is wrapping up, he means to.

Plus a couple of "mystery" cases the press haven't identified as part of an investigation.

I don't remember which would have basically been wound up by now, but it's not over for Trump no matter what the Mueller mandate reveals about Russian interference.
