General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsHow do you envision a conversation between William Barr (AG) and Robert Mueller (Special Counsel)?
Will Mueller just hand it off and say, "Good luck! It's all yours!"?
Or will they get into a more substantive conversation?
Will they be honest with each other? Will they trust each other?
Will Barr's opinions be vastly different from those of Mueller?
Will both of them try to whitewash the investigation?
What type of relationship do you see between Barr and Mueller?

(7,142 posts)I see no way to your first option. Mueller worked too long and hard to just hand off almost 2 years of work.
I am in the camp that is still holding out that what Mueller is going to report is not his final report. If I am wrong and this is his final report, I think that Mueller will read Barr the riot act. I think that Mueller will explain to Barr that he has plans B,C, and D. if Barr tries to bury the report. There will be a lot of pressure on Barr to do the right thing, even though I don't trust him.

(22,607 posts)I'm worried that he was all for Bush1 to pardon all the Iran Contra people, supposedly as the investigations neared Bush. Those pardons slammed the investigations right away. No more pursuit of truth or justice. That sounds like someone whose political motives outweighed his principles of justice. I hope he's improved.
