Has the cover-up begun?

Donald Trump, his White House staff, and all his supporters would like you to know that there was no "collusion". As if that is the only crime that could ever be committed?

How could anyone argue that there has been no obstruction of justice? Since the first word that Russia was being investigated for attacking our election system, Donald Trump has been against it. He never wanted to know if Russia attacked our elections. He called it a "hoax" and a "witch hunt". He has obstructed every inch of the way for the last two years. He even tried to fire the Special Counsel. We have all seen the obstruction with our own two eyes.

But, if someone is stopped for a traffic violation and is found to have 100 lbs of cocaine in the back seat, the cops do not overlook the possession of illegal drugs just because they stopped the driver for running a stop sign. The same goes for "collusion".

The first hint of the cover-up began with the rumor that Mueller was about to drop his report on the investigation and Mueller's team had to go public to discount that rumor. Did William Barr know about the story? Is he already being squeezed by Donald Trump? Or was this the work of Rudy and Donald alone?

Will Barr show Trump the report before it is given to Congress and will Trump get to redact what he doesn't want anyone to see? Will Congress get to see the report at all? These are questions now being asked.

The Republicans in Congress seem poised to protect their President, no matter how close he is to Vladimir Putin and Russian criminals? That is the reality we live in.

Donald Trump is not afraid of impeachment, so long as he knows he will never be convicted. In fact, he probably would welcome an impeachment hearing?

We are hearing the talk of "no collusion" being amped up every day. Republicans and their spokesmen are attempting to minimize all questionable actions by Donald Trump. There was nothing "illegal" with taking information from Wikileaks, that was gathered by the Russians, they say. There was nothing "illegal" with meeting with Russian officials and Russian spies to gather information on their political opponent, if that opponent was Hillary Clinton.

Republicans will do everything within their power to cover-up and to protect Donald Trump from being exposed to the truth.

Because the truth will convict him and them.

We have to hope the FBI, the CIA and the Dems can stop them.

Trump attacking Mueller non stop has been part of the cover up. What that has done is create an artificially high threshold for the report content. What has come out so far would have ending any other Presidency 10 times over.

Mueller getting the report out through court document a little at a time isn't enough IMO, needs to be all at once and so overwhelming that 90% of the whole country can agree the President has to go.
