months, even years. Maybe to set the terms for future deals that will take a while to work out. NOT for sitting down and creating them on the spot.
Everyone at State knows this, even Bolton knows this, but Trump is desperate, and stupid, enough to think he can sit down with Kim and work out a deal for the future of the planet on a napkin and then brag about it.
The world's greatest negotiator still hasn't figured that out.

He lacks impulse control and doesn't understand the magnitude of anything. I was concerned he would do something in order to get back the news cycle.

the US and brag about it.
