Twice defrocked judge Roy Moore, who lost his 2017 Senate bid in Alabama after he was accused of sexual misconduct with teenage girls (which he denies), is drowning in $200,000 worth of legal bills, according to his wife, and might just run for Senate again if he can raise enough cash. Judge Moore is not only fighting back in court against those who conspired to destroy his political career, but is also seriously considering another run for the United States Senate, wrote Moores wife, Kayla, in an e-mail to supporters that suggests he will challenge Democratic senator Doug Jones if the good people of Alabama can help make him whole.
The Monday e-mail also favorably compares Roy Moore to Brett Kavanaugh, who was accused by a former high school classmate of sexual assault. Kavanaugh famously denied all of Christine Blasey Fords allegations, under oath, during his Supreme Court confirmation hearing, convincing Republicans to rally to his side. The same could not be said of Moore, who was largely abandoned by the G.O.P. establishment, if not by Donald Trump. Most Alabamian voters were NOT fooled by Washington Post's fictitious story about Judge Roy Moore, according to Kayla, who cites a recent poll showing that Moore would have the support of 27 percent of Alabama Republicans if the G.O.P. primary was held today.
Of course, the accusations against Kavanaugh and Moore couldnt be further apart. While Kavanaugh faced one credible accuser in Blasey Ford, Moore was accused by multiple women of sexually harassing and assaulting them when they were teenage girls and he was in his early thirties. Their accounts were supported by people who were aware of the alleged incidents at the time, people from his hometown who stated that there were rumors hed been banned from a mall for trying to pick up teenagers, as well as a yearbook Moore had signed. (Moore copped to dating teenagers but said the allegations are false and misleading.)
To wife Kayla Moore, however, its all the same Democratic conspiracy. It was no strange coincidence that only 10 months later these same false and scurrilous tactics [against Moore] would again be used in the midst of a very important Supreme Court nomination process of Brett Kavanaugh in 2018. Judge Kavanaugh would survive to be appointed to that high court, she wrote. The people have seen through the corrupt tactics of the Washington D.C. establishment out to steal their vote!
