LAWLESS

We need a concise, easy-to-understand, accurate, nonpejorative adjective to describe this administration. Lawless. What normal person would agree that a lawless administration is okay?

We could point out the hypocrisy of Republicans feverishly supporting a president whom they would have impeached 22 months ago if he were a Democrat. We could rail against the lies Trump has told about his tax returns, his money, his affairs, everything. But most citizens don't have time to keep track of the endless stream of outrages he has committed against this country, so it would just seem partisan and whinging.

But lawless. It's succinct. It's a statement of fact, buttressed by actions this administration carries out daily that are being reported in the evening news that people who only spend half an hour catching up can recognize as taking place. It's objectively true. It sums up their behavior in two syllables. It's easy to use in a sentence. I think it's a good word to use routinely, even automatically, in front of the words "Trump administration."

Remember all the officials who have had to resign, and those who were chosen to destroy the department they lead.
