(6,560 posts)I, too, have seen what happened back in the 50's and 60's. A hometown classmate died from a back alley coat hanger abortion. I will never forget that!

(183 posts)for any Georgia resident to leave the state for an abortion if there was a heartbeat detected. This law was sponsored by Ed Setzler. He is the Representative for the 35th House District in Georgia. I came within a 1000 votes of beating him last year.

(7,540 posts)It's recommended that home pregnancy tests work starting at two weeks, and the fetal heartbeat can be detected at three-four weeks. Not much of a window.
