Barely 6 months after he credited Trump's tax cuts for creating a new economic boom, My Pillow boss Mike Lindell is laying off 150 employees

(6,110 posts)By taking 2 old pillows we were ready to discard,
Opening the seem with a razor blade, taking the foam material out, ripping it up in pieces 1" to 2" squares, stuffing them back and sowing up the seem.

(23,203 posts)I used to only use his "my pillow" it was good for my significant neck problems. Soon as he came out for drumpf, I threw the old pillow away and tried a different product, a Sobakawa pillow. I liked his a little better, it retained its' shape better, but Ive been using the other for several years now and it's perfectly fine.
Other places I won't shop/go or products we won't buy - -
Home Depot
Papoa Johns' pizza
Northern, Scott nor Brawny paper towels

Unfortunately I will probably have to go to St. Vincent's for neck surgery since my Neurosurgeon is really good and only goes there. I hate that because of their anti-woman no tube tying, no abortion policies. If he practices at any other hospital, I will choose that one, even if it's further away.
We had two nice hospitals and the non religious one closed, so now our only choice is a Catholic hospital which of course has all those anti-woman policies and who refused to treat my best friends daughters ectopic pregnancy last year. They had to go to another town so she could get treatment. Its infuriating.

... and they are cheaper and much better then the ones from that Trump lover.
BTW the reviews for "my pillow" are brutal.

(22,226 posts)where to go to get some. I certainly wasn't going to get them from the my pillow guy. I can't stand him and I think he's mental somehow, looking at him and his ads on his pillows (how he hugs and grabs his pillows, it's sickening). Target and/or Kohl's, here I come!

(5,252 posts)it's funny that 150 people are out of a job? That's not being a good Democrat nor a compassionate person. Think what you will of the owner, these poor people now must try and find something else to feed their families. LOL and job loss don't go together.

(26,797 posts)He isn't contracting his business and laying off workers... he's retooling that facility over the next couple months and expanding into a new line of business at that location. The people who are getting laid off have already been told that the company will be hiring again in 6-8 weeks.
IOW - this isn't all that different from the auto manufacturers when they have to retool a plant for a new model.
Yes... it would be nicer if he sucked it up and just paid people for a few weeks... but it isn't an example of his business collapsing right after he expected the economy to improve.
StarfishSaver
(18,486 posts)"Once MyStore is up and running, we anticipate we will be hiring.
I don't think anyone's holding their breath waiting for that to happen or that if he DOES start hiring again, he'll hire back the 150 people he just let go from his factory to work for his online venture.

(82,849 posts)Doesn't Mike Lindell know that the economy is booming under Trump? Doesn't he know this makes Trump look bad and cause people to doubt the optics Trump is trying to create? Where's Bill Barr to charge this faithless American???

I'm surprised he's not in the Trump cabinet.

(50,603 posts)Even if Lindells pillow wasnt made by a Trumpist I wouldnt buy one...because it comes in a box. Pillows should come in plastic bags so you can press on them to see how firm they are.
My interpretation of this news: everyone who wants Lindells pillow already has it.

(51,821 posts)My husband bought one. It looks and feels like it's full of chunks of foam. Such a piece of shit. My husband should have sent it back but just threw it in the closet because he didn't want the hassle of trying to return it. That's the scam, you see. Mike Lindell knows most people will not return it, even if they hate the pillow.
