Explain this abortion position to me.

In all of these new “heartbeat” bills, they only state a punishment for the Doctor.
In Alabama’s case, 99 years for the Doctor but nothing for the mother.

How can this be true if they consider any abortion murder?

If a husband hires a hit man to kill his wife, both the hit man and the husband are charged with murder. Using the anti choice logic, a woman hiring a doctor to kill a fetus should be the same scenario.
But, they know that punishing the mother is not popular with the general public.
So, they just ignore this non equivalency.
Hypocrisy as usual from this crowd.

All these anti-choice laws contain an exception for the life of the mother. As any physician can tell you, life or death situation are often gray and can happen very fast. Too fast to go before panels and other bullshit. So the doctor will err on the side of caution - staying out of prison - and women will die. So very pro-life.

consider suspicious circumstances, think again. States have already imprisoned women during pregnancy for drug use or alcohol abuse. It is a very short step to accusing a woman who miscarried of a behavior that endangered the fetus. I'm not buying it.

We in the pro choice camp believe it is a medical procedure.
They believe it is murder.
They just dont want all the backlash they’d get for jailing the mother. So, doctor takes father fall.

They want to make life miserable for anyone having anything to do with abortion.

They go after hospitals that provide the service. They go after the doctors. They go after the women. They even go after people who drive women to a clinic.

Just because the others aren't targeted in this particular bill doesn't mean they're not targeted.

They know that making it a crime to have an abortion won't fly. Many of them have daughters, nieces and granddaughters, too. You can bet that an unwanted pregnancy would get terminated for them, maybe out of state.

Hypocrisy. It's what's happening.

Claim they helped with abortions, just to help the lege see that they are scaring away doctors.
