"somewhat jejune analysis"

Just heard Barr use this word during a Fox interview.

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jejune

2. jejune
The worst word in the English language, jejune just bleeds pomposity and snobbery. If you seriously use jejune in a sentence you a) are automatically an asshole and b) should be slapped across the mouth.

“But I don’t want to go among assholes," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all assholes here. I’m an asshole. You’re an asshole."
"How do you know I’m an asshole?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”

But puerile is actually a useful word. "Trump's bullying is nothing if not puerile -- the jerk just never grew up."

without looking for that word in his vocab. Hell, who am I kidding, I never listened to him to begin with. My remote control has an overly used MUTE button.

go to merriam-webster.com. I will listen to them pronounce "jejune" over and over.

Silly word. And even sillier to use it on Fox. Who among Fox viewers knows what that means? And how many of them will bother to look it up? They probably think it is the name of a candy bar or a mixed drink.

It's actually a great snark on Russian novels!

Sonja: That is so jejune!

Boris: Jejune? You have the temerity to accuse me of quoting to you out of jejunosity? I'm the most june person there is!

(I know that there are many here, me among them, who can't abide Woody Allen as a human being. That doesn't mean that I can't appreciate his works.)
