Deep inside, Trump is a little boy from Queens who wants to be a gangster when he grows up.

Worst kind of guy to give power to - a gangster wannabe.

He has adopted their favorite words and phrases because he thinks it makes him sound like a “tough guy”.

I'm actually loving this show having grown up in and around Philly in the late 40's and 50's and back again in the early 70's. I don't admire what they did or this kind of life, but it reminds me of my childhood.

I like the "I grew up so I know..." Bullshit. I spent my summers in Calabria where the Ndragheta is part of life and most men are involved. They don't "talk" like anything. Bullshit. Bullshit. And more stereotypical bullshit.

The issue is, it's actually more or less a mode of commerce in southern Italy, so common place as to be banal. The posters here who post with breathless "I know cause .. " don't know shit.

I knew John Cha growing up. He was Sicilian mafia. You would never know it unless you knew who Giovanni Cha was. He walked with a limp when I knew him because he had been shot, but he didn't "talk a certain way". He was NOT a good man, but he wasn't a joke either. I spent my summers in rural Calabria as a boy where pretty much every adult male was involved in Ndragheta in some way. It's a way if commerce over there.

I'm tired if the Italian references to Trump. You know what? The Greeks and Italians ruled the Western World TWICE for over 1000 years. The Germans tried 3 times and couldn't do it The Italians gave us the Renaissance, the Romans gave us our firm if government, they boast the greatest artists the world has known, groundbreaking scientists, and a top 5 world cuisine.

Donald Trump us too stupid to be Italian and screw this place for the constant Italian stereotypes and bigotry. It gets fucking old. He's not mafia. He's not Camorra, not is he Ndragheta. He's a stupid old oligarch who is living off daddy's legacy and appeals to white supremacists. Why don't they associate him with Anglo-Saxon Supremacists? Those are the folks that love him

Calabria isn't the Westside of Chicago, where I grew up in the 60s/70s. I actually DID grow up around a lot of walking, talking "Outfit stereotypes".

And he never went around them to do deals, always sent someone else, coz he's a physical coward.

He does sniff a great 'Hyman Roth' impression, though.
