UH OH, U.S. Ready to Deploy More Force in Iraq Against Militia Attacks

The U.S. is ready to deploy more force in Iraq if needed to defend or prevent more attacks by Iranian-backed militias, Pentagon leaders warned Thursday.

“We are prepared to exercise self-defense, and we are prepared to deter further bad behavior from these groups, all of which are sponsored and directed and resourced by Iran,” Defense Secretary Mark Esper told reporters Thursday.

Any further attacks on the U.S. embassy in Baghdad would be met with a “buzz saw,” General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff added in a briefing at the Pentagon.

analyst was on and basically said "this is a political win for the president", and he never mentioned about the welfare of the Americans who were subject to the protest.

All he cared about was political points . . .

This has taken impeachment talk off the main screen. It is allowing Trump to talk tough. It is escalating things during the election year to give Trump an excuse for not wanting to debate a Dem candidate. If he pushes things - who knows - he might be able to postpone the election.

I'm sorry - this whole thing is just a bit too contrived for my mind. I smell a rat here.
