Does he have any idea on how the government works?

And that grammar and punctuation stuff is over rated too. Just put commas anyplace,
subject verb agreement isn't really needed, and just throw on a sentence fragment onto
the end of an already sentence "clunky" sentence.

by not advising the House and Senate leadership before the attack, so now the moron can claim that he has given a blanket notice to them for any further action.

Congress is just as culpable here as POTUS. Since 9-11 our Congress has completely ignored their Constitutional obligation to declare war (and to set the budget but that is another discussion).

The principle of proportionality prohibits attacks against military objectives which are “expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated”.

Oona Hathaway @oonahathaway

This tweet threatens to break several laws. First, the President cannot notify Congress under the War Powers Resolution by tweet. 1/

Second, he claims "[s]uch legal notice is not required." That's not true. Any time the president involves the armed forces into "hostilities," he must--at a minimum--notify Congress within 48 hours. 2/

Third, he is also obligated to "in every possible instance . . . consult with Congress before introducing United States Armed Forces into hostilities or into situation where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances . . ." under the WPR. 3/

Fourth, he is promising a "perhaps ... disproportionate" strike in response--that's another promise of an international law violation. Any action taken in self defense (the apparent justification for the strikes) must be necessary and proportionate to the threat posed. 4/

That any of this has to be said suggests just how insane this situation has become. Where are the White House, DoJ, DoD, State Dept. lawyers? 5/5

Hurt this country by starting a world war. He's done things like this before when things don't go his way. Starts conflicts to change the subject , in this case his impeachment, and does things to hurts others with it. He'll resort to anything if he's convicted, and is the greatest threat to this country that we've ever had, and much greater than terrorist have been, even this Iranian General.

If hes removed, it will likely be immediately from any kind of decision making power, even if the Senate is kind enough to give him a few days or so to pack up his shit and his brood of trash grifters.

And once that happens, nobody will be under any legal obligation to listen to a thing he says.

He’s a losing loser who’s desperate to become a dictatorial jerk to save himself, and is thinking he is free to make one more bad decision after another. His unquestioning supporters and spineless enablers are losers, too.
