(31,261 posts)I hope that the democratic Governor of Kansas is doing well there, that would truly put the Senate seat in play for a solid democrat.
Good, hopefully Nazi Chris Kobach gets the nomination again, as he did for Governor, and we pick up a Senate seat, just like we picked up the Kansas Governorship last year.

(13,431 posts)It will be a close race. Still this is a dark horse to put Dems back in the Senate majority. Due to changing party demographics in the KC suburbs combined with declining rural populations and increased numbers of Latinx voters, Dems might just win this one as the party coalesces around a female nominee (Barbara Bollier) who should draw some female Republican voters to her side.

(581 posts)Only reason is predicting he'll be booted out of the State Department by the voters in November by means of a Trump defeat therefore wants the security of the senate job ... but to run for senate he'd be tying himself to Trump anyway!
