Schumer at press conference says he knew all along McConnell would never go for a fair trial. Promises votes down the road on witnesses and documents. Says we will see if four Republicans support a real trial.
Sounds like hes ready to move forward...

Schumer says that by not sending articles earlier, Pelosi has prevented McConnell from doing a quick dismissal of articles, and has bought time in which new info has come out (NYT article, Bolton willingness).
Suggests it may now be time to send articles.

(21 posts)I just saw where mitch said the republicans are going to move forward with rules for the trial w/o input from the democrats. mitch has the votes in the senate to do whatever he wants. So be it.
