I learned something recently...

We are new members of a loose group of Ex-pats in Costa Rica. Since we are new, we are biding our time on input to conversations amongst the group. For four months no one has said anything political.

The other day, a woman we like, started a discussion with, “ Aren’t you proud of our courageous president move to get rid of that terrorist!”
😳😕😬

What I learned is, As much as I hate trump and I do, I hate anyone who supports him that says he’s “courageous”. When they think Obama is a shit.

I actually stood up and said, “I have to go. If I get started, someone is going to end up crying. And I doubt if it would be me.”

So now I have to go back this Saturday. I’m wondering what will happen.

You just can’t get away from those freakin’ MAGAts, they’re like horseshit, meaning everywhere!

I am surprised you encountered one in an Ex-pat group

Hopefully everyone will take the hint from your statement and steer clear of politics at your next get together.

BTW you showed admirable restraint ... I would have felt like punching her

Including Rush Limbaugh.

Most expats have money ( Not us. Bush’s economy stole a lot of our retirement.) That means they have investments in the stock market. My landlord said, I don’t know why they would impeach trump with the economy so great. To which I replied, the impeachment has nothing to do with the (Obama’s) economy.

We only get Fux Youz and CNN here. There is no voice here for liberal Democratic politics.

Is it an international access thing? I watch the international livestream of MSNBC every night.

I don't have teevee but the webs have everything that would interest me from teevee so I watch online.

although the economy might be great for some, the deficit (which is always a major talking point when a dem is in office) is at an all time high!

Expats are notoriously open minded, adventurous and savvy people.

When you go you will quickly learn who the people who think like you are. You’ve shown your hand, saved yourself all kinds of probing around to see what others think, and now your political allies will approach you. You should be damn proud that you went straight for the heart of it.

Just so you know, I’m an American citizen who grew up in Mexico and lived there for 25 years. I know what I’m talking about.
