I have to replace my 13-year-old car. It's been great but now is needing more and more repairs. So, I went shopping and was very tempted by a red car, but thought I really should be more practical and go with a grey or silver. I decided to search online and found the following video. Then, I got a laugh when I reached about 2 minutes and 30 seconds:

I won't spoil it but if you can scroll to the 2:30 mark it won't take much of your time.

Years ago I had a royal blue car that did. Liked the color but really disliked the scratches and having to be so careful to avoid them.
I think it will be boring old silver for me again.

Maybe the shade of red matters. Or metallic or flat color.

(35,389 posts)reason they get more tickets is red is the fastest color. I find any car that you just finish washing and waxing attracts bird poop. Now days you have to pay extra for red I hear the pigment costs more. I have a Ruby Red Ford Fusion what they used to call Candy Apple Red. At the time I bought my car I thought it was the sharpest car on the lot.
