Does he look stoned? His eyes are so red.

(576 posts)Just saying. It would make the game less stressful.

(121 posts)He is TERRIBLE as a color analyst.... making the broadcast virtually unwatchable. All he does is mumble while simply describing what youre already seeing on the replay he catches the ball and runs until John Smith tackles him. Always the WHAT and never the WHY.
Lazy and unprepared (Ill leave the drunk/stoned speculation to others)
Tony Romo on CBS does a fantastic job.

(2,041 posts)had previously asked, "wouldn't you have to be stoned to sit in the announcer's booth with Joe Buck for 3 plus hours?"
He always looks this way every time I've seen him on TV.

(9,683 posts)Not sure why. Maybe because he seems to wear his short guy status on his sleeve. That or the hair plug thing.

(156 posts)but I like Aikman and Romo as color commentators. Now Witten otoh.....
Grown2Hate
(2,013 posts)but I actually LOVE Romo as an analyst (SO good; great with his insights into the details of the game).
During that halftime where they surprised Johnson with his Hall of Fame entrance (and you saw Aikman getting emotional, which is where I think I lot of the red-eyes comments are coming from), I texted a Cowboy fan friend of mine this:
"Man, FUCK Jimmie Johnson and Troy Aikman (two of the guys more responsible for beating my Eagles throughout the 90's)...
For making me actually tear up and cry during the Hall of Fame call. Fucking awesome. Congrats, brutha!"
Moving moment. Old age is making me soft. LoL

(24,694 posts)I like his analysis and the way he presents it. When a great play is made, he really let's his emotions flow. Fun to listen to with no self-PR.
