After their campaign against Hallmark bellyflopped, the ultra-Conservative group set its sights on Burger King. Their beef? An actor in BKs August 2019 ad uttered one word that is apparently beyond the pale: Damn...
As reported in the WaPo, these attack-helicopter moms are outraged because little children might hear this naughty word and start repeating it. Instead of collapsing onto a fainting couch, they are asking people to sign a petition directed at the fast food vendor. Almost makes me want to try their ImpossiBurger.
After they attacked the WASP-network (Haulmark TV), they were essentially told to shut the fuck up (another naughty word!) by Hallmark, and youd think theyd have learned a lesson from that experience. And youd be wrong.
Be sure to read the comments posted below the article. And stop by your local BK, even if only to grab a cup of coffee. If you want to go out onto a limb during that visit, take a sip, and tell your server Damn, thats good! Even if it isnt.

(4,573 posts)...the Impossible Whopper actually is a damn good burger.
And yes, One "Million" Moms should shut the fuck up.
And hurl herself off a high cliff while she's at it. (It's practically just one person.)

(14,961 posts)for Trump, I'm certain he is a fine example for their children. Have they heard his examples?🙄 I remember Brooke Baldwin, going on a rant over the language at his rallies.

DAMN! in a commercial? OMFG! That sounds like a bad neurosis to say the least. How about some immaturity, as well? Oh, you said a BAD word. I find that adults not only have a wide-range of tolerance for words, including expletives, but they are also fully capable of raising their children to deal with various types of language without getting hysterical about it.
How about, (as I did with my kids): There is no such thing as a bad word. There are people who use words in different ways and maybe with something bad they want to say or do. Swearing can have its place, but you should know when that is and, there are going to be people who find any swearing to be offensive, so keep that in mind and watch out. Oh, and don't ever wear those words out by overusing them or they won't keep their value anymore, OK? Thanks!

I dont care.
it has become of no concern to me.
I dont give a Continental.
I dont give a hoot!
I dont give a whoop!
I am completely indifferent.
you can go to the devil, for all of me.
you can go to the devil for all I care.
Im not even indifferentI just dont care.
Ive come to the end.
I just dont care.
my indifference is boundless.
I dont give a straw.
Its all the same to me.
it is of no consequence.
the devil may careI dont!
Ive withdrawn from the battle.
The whole thing is a stench in my nostrils.
it makes my gorge rise.
No, none of that is right and I don't feel like going on. You could say I don't give a damn.
