Robert F. Hyde is an U.S. Marine Corps Iraqi Freedom war veteran and Republican candidate for U.S. Congress in Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District.

Robert is a post-9/11 war veteran who enlisted while attending CCSU because of duty and service to country. After serving eight years in the United States Marine Corps and serving in the Iraqi theater as a security detail during the peak of the fight, Robert then left the service – but never left his commitment – and established a small business headquartered in Avon, CT. The small business didn’t stay “small” long and quickly grew to over 100 employees as a full-service construction firm (fun fact: Robert F. Hyde’s firm helped build the Farmington, CT, home of Curtis James Jackson III, otherwise known as 50 Cent; some say Mr. Hyde has cross-over appeal).

Robert Hyde also helped established Toys for Tots presence in the Farmington Valley and made the organization a force in the valley.

Robert Hyde’s charity work includes fundraisers for Marines where he’s raised over 200k in two months.

Hyde made headlines last month after he posted a sexist and vulgar tweet about California Sen. Kamala Harris.

On Dec. 3, after Harris suspended her presidential campaign, Hyde posted this on Twitter: "went down, brought to her knees. Blew it,'' Hyde tweeted. “Must be a hard one to swallow. #KamalaHarris #heelsup”

The bowling party occurred about a week before police were called to Trump’s Doral resort in Miami-Dade County for a “male in distress fearing for his life,” according to a police report from the incident.

Hyde told officers that he had been “set up and that a hit man was out to get him,” officers wrote. Hyde “spoke about emails he sent that may have placed his life in jeopardy” and said he believed that painters and landscape workers were trying to harm him and that the Secret Service was watching him.

Doral police classified the May 16 episode as a “Baker/Marchman Act” incident, referring to the Florida laws that allow a person to be involuntarily detained and treated for mental illness or substance abuse.

In a now-deleted social media post at the end of May, Hyde described being “Baker Acted” for nine days. “I passed all medicals, physicals, psych exams and diagnosis with flying colors .?.?. So in all honesty, eff you and your intelligence agencies, whatever or whoever was or is effing with me.”

They are certainly a "type" that's for sure - white, pasty, lardasses with huge bellies that hang over their belts. They make me barf.

And what's with the goofy, sticking his chest out trying to look macho (which he isn't) trump spawn? Could his teeth be any faker? The whole family is disgusting looking.

I did a quick search for him early this morning after the story broke, but couldn't find much. The info is much appreciated. ATM instead of gardening, I'm glued to a bootleg MSNBC livestream.

So how does a 40-year-old deadbeat dad end up with connections enabling him to stalk an ambassador's movements (including when her phone and computer are turned on and off), as well as details about her security force (including when she is to be moved)? How is he so hooked in with Parnas to be texting such info. with this known Russian mobster?

Using the "follow the money" maxim, perhaps some intrepid reporter should start looking at Russian money laundering through Hyde's implausibly successful "construction company" in Connecticut.

Jan. 15 Mother Jones article: Corn uncovered "consultant" relationship between Hyde and Chinese foreign national who gave 1/4 million to tRump.

Odd how a landscaper/construction guy who allegedly couldn't pay his child support and reported in his campaign financials making only $35,000 last year has been able to give tens of thousands of dollars to tRump, Rethug PACs, and fundraisers...not to mention all the hotel, greens, and bar bills at tRump properties, plus airfare back and forth from D.C. to Florida.

Hope Corn keeps following the dark money...
