Trump famously signs his bills with one cheap sharpie, putting it back in his pocket. He doesnn't give anything away for free.

That is likely sticking in his craw. He never liked it when obama did it.

I think presidents have been doing this for decades.

But Pelosi IS a nasty woman, so it's different for her ...

But i got great intel in the first responce: Trump never does it because he is shelfish. Nancy does it because she is not selfish.

All chatter and little recognition of the solemnity of the occassion. It was Garrett Haake and Manu Raju breathlessly reporting about a procedural "hiccup" that the Senate wouldn't accept the actual articles until tomorrow when the entire impeachment process steps are very formal and prescribed. That was obvious as soon as the scene shifted to the Senate and kicked off with a completely scripted process.

Souvenir pens were used during Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial as well. Back then, Senators who signed an oath book kept their pens even though they were printed with a misspelling: “Untied States Senator”

It had to happen. A bit of divine levity and human frailty intruding on a somber moment.

Right there on the pens senators used to sign the oath of impeachment was a mistake, two letters transposed back at the plant in Janesville, Wis. Instead of "United States Senator," the Parker Vector roller ballpoint pens read "Untied States Senator." Was this a joke, an honest mistake, a plea?
