(8,088 posts)VERY prestigious honor in the future called something like The Rachel Maddow Excellence in Journalism Award. She absolutely outdoes herself. If she were an athlete, she'd keep breaking her own record.

But this is one of those few times Ill add a journal entry to the album. That its the night before the swearing in for the Senate trial makes it all the more breathtaking.

(3,402 posts)As I watched the interview, I was struck by how smart and well-informed she is. I probably take that for granted sometimes. Shes my favorite journalist, and I think shell eventually be held in the same esteem nationally as Murrow and Cronkite.

(2,220 posts)No one smarter, able to put the pieces together, and communicate them in a way that is both crystal clear and entertaining. She is a gem!
That said, Im holding back my excitement about last nights interview until facts are fully corroborated. Im not at all convinced Parnas was honest about everything, especially the surveillance of Marie Yovanovitch. Rachel and her team are the best, but grifters gotta grift. Cautiously optimistic, I am. And looking forward to tonight.

(2,227 posts)She MAKES the news, NEWS. If anyone has something important to say, they say it to Rachel.
We news nerds get annoyed (we ARE such delicate little flowers ), but Rachel realizes that she is reaching Americans who AREN'T news nerds, and does it in a way that is informative, explanatory and conclusive.
Right now, at this time, SHE is the best we have got. And we ARE in good hands.
Rachel, YOU ROCK!!!
