(13,571 posts)I had an instant reaction I've never had to anyone else. His smug sense of his own power was really off-putting. I felt wary.

(5,815 posts)for Deputy Dawg. Things just get better and better for those of us who have kept up, although I admit keeping up is not easy. Thank goodness for people like Rachel Maddow who keeps digging and researching and then knocking our socks off like she did last night. I would love to see her put Deputy Dawg on the witness chair and look at him over the top of her glasses. Bwahaha. Watch him squirm. .

(16,946 posts)I'm watching an older TV show (Hell on Wheels) that is about the growth of the US and how railroads helped that happen.
At one point they have a carpetbagger "governor" and his crew/staff trying to take control of a new US Territory. The new "governor" is needing some "strong-arm" support and takes a murderer out of jail and makes him the new marshal in the town.
Do you see the parallel there? A professional thief hires a criminal to do his dirty work for him.
Hmmmmmm - why is that making me thinking of something I've seen lately.........................
Spoiler Alert!
In case you're thinking about watching that series, just sayin' - the "new marshal" gets his - he goes down hard! (Oh, that it could happen again.................).
