Judge upholds ban on weapons at gun rally in Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A judge on Thursday upheld a ban on firearms at a pro-gun rally scheduled for next week in Virginia, rejecting a request from gun-rights groups that sued to overturn it.

The Virginia Citizens Defense League and Gun Owners of America filed a lawsuit Thursday seeking an injunction against the ban, which Gov. Ralph Northam imposed for a rally scheduled to take place Monday on the grounds of the Virginia Capitol.

In her written ruling, Richmond Circuit Court Judge Joi Taylor said the governor has the authority under state law to take action related to "the safety and welfare" of the state.

Taylor cited rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts that found the Second Amendment right to bear arms is not unlimited. Because of that, she wrote, the gun-rights groups would not "suffer an irreparable harm" sufficient to justify the injunction.

Now is some group said that it would counter-rally and bring guns and RPGs, those gunners would soil their shorts and want the other side banned.

If that applies to one moment in time at one venue in Virginia, it should apply to the whole state, really. And for all time.

Hell, the whole country!

I can but dream . . .

group were apprehended right around the corner from my house. Sometimes i think they may not even adhere to the beliefs of whatever group they’re going along with. They just join because they look at it as a license to hurt people.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Base_(hate_group)
The Base is an accelerationist, neo-Nazi white separatist paramilitary hate group, formed in 2018 and active in at least the United States, Canada, Australia and South Africa, that advocates the formation of white ethnostates, a goal to be achieved through terrorism and the violent overthrow of existing governments. It organizes what have been called "race war preppers" and organizers of "hate camps".[1][2][3][4] The group was created in June 2018 by the pseudonym Norman Spear who also goes by Roman Wolf and claims to have military experience.[5]

The Base translated to Arabic is "al-Qaida".[5] The Base has recruited using iFunny, a Russian meme website.[6][7]
