2. No....the Republicans are going to acquit Trump, not the entire Senate...

The hope is that a few - maybe only one in Romney? - will vote to convict and avoid the overt and total political cover-up and dismissal of criminal conduct because of party affiliation.

None of these Senators have true, personal affinity or relationships with Trump...they are scared of him, his Tweets and his zealot fans from the metastasized Tea Party and Klan meetings. Full Stop.

The House impeached Trump based on solid, verified allegations of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The first is the weaker of the two charges because you can make a very thin defense around interpretation of the scope of Presidential power - not to say it is right, but it does not have to be manifestly corrupt to believe otherwise than myself...

HOWEVER - the second article on obstruction is so OBVIOUS, so UNCHALLENGED, so HIDEOUSLY OPEN that it cannot be legitimately denied. Anyone voting "acquit" on the questions of obstruction should be considered a traitor, a liar and an oath breaker for swearing into the Senate Trial yesterday.

But each Senator that votes to aquit will have to answer for it. And that could be interesting.

I'm saying that we are reaching a high water mark now. The populous is catching on in mass. GOP Senators will have to live with their decision but more will break away before then and once the momentum gets going, many will want to be on the right side of history. Bolton could be key for GOP to try to save face and try to rebuild the party and go back to the 2008 GOP Autopsy Report of inclusion.

I predict, he'll resign before a guilty conviction and they will call it a health issue or something. He knows what Impeached and Removed means and that's Loser! He can't stand Loser! He'll call Impeachment a battle scar with his resignation but he won't tolerate removal or firing. >80%

There are three they could vote with republicans. I’d rather they not. Itd be so great if 100 percent vote to send trump the message he’s not king.
