After discussion with military leaders, minds of science and anthropolgists, it became apparent that a significant presence was needed in space for our protection. Numerous studies were commissioned to look at the feasability, cost and necessity of a new Space based branch of the military. Our allies were also consulted for their input and our findings were presented to them in international conferences about the ethics, necessity and morality of a space based force. Questions like "Who owns space?" and "Should this be the effort of a single country, or should Earth make the leap to space as a unified global community?" were debated amongst leaders and the world's greatest scholars. Only then were decisions made, recommendations return to the governments of allied countries, and votes taken by their respective legislatures on funding, timing and scope. Thus Space Force was born.
