Will the impeachment trial last beyond the scheduled date of the State of the Union Address?

I’d hate to see him taking a victory lap or turning it into one of his rally performances. Although it would be his lunacy on full display....a sure way of turning many off....

Conceivably, it could be over on Tuesday. I agree with you -- rather not see a victory lap . . . Journeyman Jan 2020 #1

but if the trial is still going on February 4, Trump could legitimately postpone his State of the Union address until it's over, claim he needs to devote himself to his impeachment before he addresses the nation.

Any of a number of things could happen. Could all be trumped by some form of infarction. Keep positive. We're going to need as many positive vibes as we can muster in the coming days.
