My fears for what happens in the next few weeks?

1) will we come together as a country to see justice to be served? No.
2) if Trump is impeached will there be riots? Yes.
3) will McConnell find away to help Trump? Yes.
4) will this be a fair trial? No.
5) will Trump seek revenge for this trial? Yes.

There are is a lot riding on this trial, but There are some in the Senate(GOPers) who should find the reality of what needs to be done? I doubt they will, given their fears of what will happen to them after the trial!

in the House. That will never change. Removal comes from the Senate! We can only hope.

It appears to be a certainty that you have outlined the trajectory of where this is going.

Status quo and risking the same outcome, if not worse. The Impeachment and Trial are unfortunately a necessary process.

I think he will be completely unhinged for the rest of his presidency. And if he thinks he is going to get beat in November it will get even worse. I think he'll try to burn the country down.

And he probably will be acquitted. I think we are in for a real shit show, far worse than what we have seen to date.

But I think impeaching the son of a bitch (his words) was the right thing to do.

Actually, he said he admired leaders who have lifetime positions. I was going to say "serve for the rest of their lives," but we all know that the idea of public service anyone other than himself is not in his wheelhouse.

Hey, he just got to kill a guy for no reason at all and blew off briefing Congress on the details of the mission. His friends at Mar-A-Lago got a minute-by-minute replay, however. If he's acquitted (which he'll tout as "exonerated" ) he'll be the most dangerous person in the world -- a sociopath with control of the nation's arsenal of nuclear weapons.

I just don't see a way out of becoming a more fascist country and one with no hope for the working class if he stays in office. He will steal the next election through Russian Reupug data hacking & voter suppressioin and fuckery (holding up 42 boxes of votes in a strongly Dem county so they don't count and Scott wins the fake total.

Our only real hope is a miracle - but drumpf is such a cheater and repugs are so invested in russian $$, is even that possible? I guess, it could be so heinous the American public rebelled and repugs got pulled along?

Other hope is a blue tsunami that swamps their stealing machines - if that is even possible. It's the most likely way, but still a long shot given epic gerrymandering (allowed illegally by rw russian repug SCOTUS), voter suppression & outright vote hacking.
