"What if tRump doesn't want to leave office after he loses in November?"
Whose gonna make him? Our military is scared shitless of him, and we KNOW that tRumputinthuglicans are scared of fat ass and of their puppet-master Vlad. SO scared that they're willing to turn the USA into the USSA/banana republic.

(4,858 posts)...the Supreme Court--*his* court--is going to rule on "faithless electors". If they decide that electors don't have to support the candidate that won their state, and can vote for whomever the hell they choose...then God help us. The GOP will openly bribe, bully, and threaten electors to make the "right" choice. I can see the potential for almost unlimited chaos. And if it should go to the House...imagine Trump and the GOP and Fox News attacking the "impeachment" House, and Pelosi, trying to "steal the Presidency". 2020 is going to be another 1860 or 1876.

(6,845 posts)to claim he is running for his second term. He will ask us if we know there was another president who served two terms not connected, Grover Cleveland. Not many people know that, he will say. I think he mostly will do it to grift and raise money and snipe at his successor, then he will get some horrible cancer from Big Macs and KFC and die.

(34,117 posts)we make it more likely that he will have a second term.
There were Democrats who voted in the Republican primary to help ensure Trump would be the candidate running against Clinton.
There were Democrats who voted for Trump or for third parties to send a message to Clinton.
There were Democrats who stayed home for a variety of reasons.
My spouse didn't go through with it - but suggested doing the first one (and was absolutely positive that she would awaken the day after the election to President Clinton).
All of these actions were motivated, in part, by the unwarranted assumption Trump was such a fool that there was no chance he would be elected.
Please stop making the same dangerous assumptions that helped put us where we are today.
