I give up. I no longer have any hope of getting rid of trump.

I have no more illusions he will be convicted and removed.
The idea of going through a rigged election is an exercise in futility. He will be reelected one way or another and there is nothing we can do about it. Everything is stacked against us and we are powerless to stop the never ending horror show know as the trump presidency.
I have lived with a constant feeling of dread and hopelessness since he was elected. I can't do it any more, or at least for some time to come. I no longer want to know what is happening because I can no longer listen to the talk full of false hope. Of course there is a solution, not one I can say out loud but it is the only thing I see. So until someone tells me he is gone or dead I will no longer pay attention and hope I die before it gets worse.

Incase you are wondering this is not a GCW post

don't let it burn you out. Take a break from it all. I think we may all be very pleasantly surprised. But yes, I totally get it.

Until that happens, it looks like we are stuck with him. His only redeeming quality is that he is mortal.

That was never gonna happen, I can't imagine why anyone would think it might.

He's pretty unpopular though, Presidents that unpopular don't usually get reelected.

I feel that way sometimes, too. But you have to keep pushing yourself to stay engaged. You have Democratic Underground and a lot of progressive websites to keep you going. We’re all in this together and need to keep encouraging each other.

I don’t care what the media says or if they want a horserace or not. This ain’t 2016 and this guy is totally beatable.

He needs to be voted OUT which is entirely possible
If it is any comfort, I believe Trump will be facing significant lawsuits and unwanted scrutiny for the rest of his life. He lives for attention. He’s got it

I find that shutting off MSNBC and CNN is quite helpful. Those networks and their non-stop presentation of Trump's incessant lying and acting like the American King while Republicans stick their heads in the sand and Magats cheer - it can all be very depressing. Its not fun watching our democracy disappearing while cable news blares it all at us in between insurance and pharma ads. Find other news sources or just get involved in other things until the election. Obviously there is no need to watch impeachment if you hope for Trump to be removed by Republicans, he won't be, so save yourself from that. Nothing is going to be done about King Dumbly short of him dropping dead and going to "Hell" (which I'm certain cable news would cover his trip), or gets voted out.

or getting him to resign. People who predict that are idiots.

BUT (and it’s a big but) all we gotta do is vote him out. It’s really just that easy. There are more of us than there are of them. A proper GOTV effort in the right states virtually assures his defeat. Electorally I think we’ve got everything lined up in our favor.
