The Democrats want Bolton to testify, but how do they know he'll be an asset vs. helping Trump?

I've never been a fan of Bolton, so I'm leery. However, will the Democrats gain any ground by putting him on the stand, under oath, to tell us his version of the "drug deal" about Trump's demands of Ukraine? How will that balance out if it causes the Republicans to call Hunter Biden or would Biden be considered a nonentity to this case?

If he tells the truth and doesn't take the 5th or some version of executive privilege, will his testimony give us new information or verify what has already been said? Is his offer a trap?

One plus for him would be drawing interest in buying his new book that is to come out in the near future.

but not proof.

First, 2 of his underlings already testified and their testimony was very much on the same page. If bolton follows a different script, he could be open to perjury charges at a future date.

Second, he has a book coming out. If he gets boring and says nothing happened, it will hurt him financially because it would sound dull.

No guarantees. The great pardon in the sky could clear him of any perjury worries, and he is a slime ball. But he does to legitimately dislike trump.

It's a wild card. I suspect unless the managers have a chance to debrief him, they may not bother. They need to know what he is going to stipulate to. Otherwise he is a hostile witness and no prosecutor wants that.

of many other government officials who testified in the House hearings. If he refutes any prior testimony, then someone is lying. If he cannot produce the receipts to back up his testimony, then it’s his word against the word of three or four others, AND any receipts those others produced to back up their testimony.

should talk to an attorney? I think two or three witnesses made that comment, but not sure if it was Bolton.

carry about as much weight as subpoenas, their respect for the Constitution , the Rule of Law and the Courts. They've installed a rogue in the Oval Office and also at the Department of Justice. They don't even attempt to hide it anymore.
