The amendment is to subpoena people/docs from OMB due to what happened with the withholding funds (and the apparent signoffs for that). This would relate to what GAO recently found that it was against the law for them to do this.

all these amendments can be resubmitted after they go through their initial opening statements/questioning.

This is why the Democrats are pretty much laying out for the public, pretty much everything they have during the debate arguments in case they never get a chance to resubmit if those 4 Senators backslide in allowing witnesses, etc., later.

arguments toward WITNESSES now, for the American audience. Because the major complaint of Repubs during House impeachment proceedings was that their witnesses were NOT direct witnesses who SPOKE TO THE PRESIDENT.

Gotta love the House managers.

This upcoming vote might be a break in the trial. IF Republican leadership is "logical" or "logically consistent."

If you're not signed up it will ask you where you live so it knows which members of Congress to contact. Then it'll ask you if you want to fax or call. Then just follow the prompts.

Couldn't be any easier. You don't even have to dial.

Jeffries says as he lays out the broad powers of inquiry in the Senate, especially in regards to impeachment, and that their power to compel testimony is comparable to that wielded in a court of law.

Given the more typical competence of legal beagles that appear before Roberts' court ...... what is he thinking???? What is he concluding?
