The Siegfried Line

Germans were in a panic in 1944.

In the book, Siegfried, The Nazis' Last Stand, Hitler is quoted as telling Colonel-General Guderlan in January of 1944:

"Believe me, General. I am the greatest builder of fortifications of all time. I built the West Wall."

“Great” as in “notorious.” One crazy dude attracted a flock of crazy dudes who would kill in mass numbers for him. And nothing bad was ever their fault— it was always the fault of “the other”: Jews, socialists, communists, intellectuals, bankers, educators, etc.

Imagine such an obscene scenario taking place here in the United States. Glad to know that my fellow common-sense Americans would NEVER bend the knee to such a hate-filled lunatic.
