A big vote for witnesses and documents means that the trial will last longer. The longer it lasts, the worse for the Trumpy. Once the Senate decides to actually treat this affair like a real trial, the worse it looks for the Mad Hair Monster.

It seems like even the Rs know that Bolton has to testify, though I still won't believe it until I see it.
