The "Whistleblower" and the ICIG...

Did the ICIG follow the correct procedure in reporting the whisleblower complaint to the NDI?

Did the NDI follow the correct procedure by sending the "urgent" complaint to the DOJ?

Did the DOJ follow the correct procedure by withholding the complaint from the House Intel Committee? Did they have that authority?

Did the ICIG do the right thing by informing the Congress about the hold on the "urgent" complaint?

The ICIG followed the law, the political appointees (DNI/AG) didn't.

With an independent DOJ, charges would have already been filed.

BTW - it appears that the whistleblower contacted the House Intel Committee staff with questions about procedures. The staffers correctly pointed the WB to their agency IG to file their report and thereby protecting them as the law allows. Don't know whether the staffers ever passed on the identity to committee members or if they ever knew the identity themselves before if came to them from the IG.
