Lamar Alexander is a no. No need for witnesses or documents. The people

should make the decisions, not the Congress. CNN So Murkowski is the only one left. If she votes yes then it is up to Chief Justice Roberts to decide if he wants to break the tie.

no good can come of it where the federal judiciary is concerned. He can put his stamp on everything when these cases come before the Supreme Court. He could even direct the lower courts expedite or consolidate the cases so they can be argued and decided quickly by the USSC. The next weeks will be fascinating for serious court watchers.

It would be interesting if he chose another method to break the tie, say, by having the senators vote again, this time by secret ballot. Or by making the senators cast votes until there is a majprity one way or the other.

As bad as things seem, we would be even deeper shit if we hadn't flipped the House. But it hasn't been enough. The country is being ruled by a minority of about 30%, insane loudmouth assholes all.

Raw power and money rule these people. No character, no honor, no sense of justice.

I hope this is the nadir. I hope the renascence begins now.

Difficult not to feel despondent, but we can be discouraged yet still act.

Doesn’t mean we have lost the war, but we have lost this time.

Better to have them acquit based upon a sham trial going against the will of a supermajority of likely voters than to do so after giving the appearance of fairness.

They likely handed over the Senate, increased our House majority and probably the presidency if we don’t screw it up again.
