Few tweets down the reporter throws out this quote:
Senator Biden was not at the Gridiron Dinner in May of 2008."
Kind of a big one to not mention in the first tweet, but hey headlines!

The woman, Eva Murry, told Law&Crime that Biden complimented her on the size of her breasts at the First State Gridiron Dinner & Show in 2008, a long-running roast of and party for politicians, journalists and prominent business figures held each year in Delaware. Murry says she remembers the event occurring sometime around May of that year.

Murry acknowledged the timing of her allegation would likely invite accusations that she was acting politically but she insisted that was not the case.
Murry said that she was personally motivated to speak out because she began seeing Bidens name and face appearing all over Facebook in early April after Bernie Sanders dropped out of the Democratic primary. She said that many of her friends started posting about voting for Biden. So, Murry started off by telling each of those friends her story. She says she did this over and over.
It got overwhelming repeating myself on everyones post, she said. So I made a master thread with the intentions of informing my friends and family who I care very much about, just what kind of man Biden is. Murry told Law&Crime she was upset about what Biden said to her rather than anything having to do with his politics.

No darlin, all you did was inform all your family and friends exactly what kind of a liar you are.

(54,451 posts)Not much of a witch if she can't even conjure up Joe Biden to have done inappropriate things at an event he never attended. O'Donnell probably also has proof that Biden never won a single one of the 25 gold medals at the summer Olympics she claims he said he won.
If Al Franken's tragedy had no other positive legacy, it was to alert other Democrats to the sleazy Republican scam tactic that felled him, and not to fall for it again.

(54,451 posts)That is why I supported NONE of them for the presidential nomination, and one of the reason that I support NONE of the for the VP nod. Not Gillibrand, not Sanders, not Warren, not Booker, not Harris. Klobuchar never said anything like that in public, so I give her a pass. Our VP needs to be one of our top diplomats after all. At least Klobuchar showed a little judgment. Interestingly, she was the Democrat of the group that had been in the Senate longest.
I even withheld my usual contributions to the re-election campaigns of most of them (not Bill Nelson in 2018, as he apologized to Al sincerely), and gave the money to either Planned Parenthood or the campaigns of newbies trying to get elected this year (i.e. Amy McGrath of KY, Sarah Gideon of Maine, Mark Kelly in AZ, and House candidates such as Valerie Plame in NM and Wendy Davis in TX).

(28,863 posts)I was sooo grateful when Sanders dropped.
Now if the VP spot goes to Amy, Porter, Abrams, Rice, Demmings, or another I will be over my resentment.
Sprinkles would be Al back. Maybe in charge of the Budget. Or Ambassador to UN. Something cool.

Her last tweet last night was, of course, that the Reade story continues. Garbage journalist.

(5,969 posts)that she only said that the claims weren't vetted and not that it has been proven to be a false allegation.
It might be due to being overwhelmed because of the negative feedback she got but at this point it's hard to tell whether it's incompetence or malice when she doesn't make it clear that at least the corroborating evidence by O'Donnell was without a doubt a lie.
