Here's how stubborn they are

I was just finishing my drop off at the Post Office when there was a disturbance. One of the staff was going down the line and encountered a man who had no mask - the only one in line without. Seems the post office here in Colorado Spring has a mandatory mask policy to go along with other protective measures, and the gentleman was unhappy about it. I didn't hear what the staff said as he was quiet and respectful, but the man in line blew up.

He looked genuinely angry, and muttered loudly - too fast to make out much, but I hear "Freedom" and "My rights" as he moved to stalk out. I called out to him, "Sir - I have a mask you can use!" but he stalked out. I caught up (socially distancing) with him and repeated what I said. It's like he was in a fog of anger, he kept muttering and didn't even look at me.

I mean, he reminded me of the people who were so angry about the Affordable Care Act they wouldn't sign up. Biting off the nose as hard as possible. Take that!

Or some other business left undone which was important enough to bring him to stand in line, and now will bite him hard....

2. I'd call it pure idiotic stupidity with a large dose of mulishness.

Except that would be insulting to the mule.

I'm stubborn, but I do listen to facts and science - those aren't mutually exclusive.

7. Exactly where I figured. Thank goodness for the Westside. Not nearly so many of them here.

Last two times I went to the store, all the staff, and nearly all the customers were masked. The ones who were not got dirty looks. From what I am told, even customers at the pharmacies are masked. One who wasn't was told to leave.

always seem to mean more than our "Right" to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of our Happiness.

Their "rights" always seem to be about hurting or killing someone instead of lifting someone up.

Fuck their "rights".

You did the correct thing roscoeroscoe. Thanks.
